Purple Dog Switches To VOIP

We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new contact telephone number for all Purple Dog customer enquiries: 09 950 4676 (international callers dial +64 9 950 4676).

Recently we took the decision to join forces with broadband internet suppliers, YNet.

With the move to Ynet, we also decided to switch to VOIP (Voice Over IP) technology. While this means switching over from Telecom, there was no loss of service at the Purple Dog end since our new VOIP line and contact numbers are already live.

Sol Harris, owner of Purple Dog website design and marketing says “If you live on Waiheke Island and you’re looking for a local broadband supplier, Ynet are the boys for you, and if you’re interested in finding out more about VOIP technology – check out World Exchange Communications.  VOIP is fantastic and you’ll not look back – it’s packed full of features and the low costs are a massive bonus.”

If you don’t know what VOIP is, in a nutshell, it’s telephony over the internet – basically, you route you phone calls over your internet connection and dispense with the traditional land line.  More about VOIP here.
