We’ve recently completed a website for Gulf Island Foods, a food wholesaler based on Waiheke Island.
Servicing a range of cafes, restaurants, vineyards and accommodation providers on Waiheke, the website design simply needed to convey the latest product specials, and enable the visitor to download latest price lists, food catalogues and other documents.
We initially discussed the possibility of adding an ordering system that would integrate with the client’s warehouse and accounts systems – but since they have over 1200 product lines, in reality this would have meant a larger budget and longer development time-frame (though the complexity didn’t worry Purple Dog!).
Instead, the client decided upon a straight-forward yet fully-functional, mobile-friendly “brochure-style” website to keep the visitor informed of latest specials and other news.
The Gulf Foods’ team are now able to keep their product and price information up-to-date using the awesome, easy to use administration panel and Content Management System.
